The Casale Sonnino is a family run vacation villa rental and working vineyard nestled among the hill towns of the Castelli Romani, on the outskirts of Rome. Over the past 20 years, we have rented our ancestral home to numerous family groups, fine artists, couples and reunions of friends who find that the Casale Sonnino is the perfect home base for exploring Rome and Central Italy.
The Villa is available year around for week stays or longer. From time to time, especially in the off season, we welcome a Bed & Breakfast arrangement for three days or more. Typically, our weeks run Saturday to Saturday, but we are often flexible. Please feel free to ask us about your particular villa rental and travel requirements we’ll do our best to help you make the most out of your vacation in Italy.

Ideal Location Near Rome
At the Casale Sonnino, you can savor the authentic Italian country life, yet be a Roman stone’s throw from the museums and historic sites in central Rome.
Casale Sonnino lies at the base of Monte Porzio Catone, a charming medieval hill town, 1 kilometer away. It is 4 kilometers east of Frascati, a vibrant regional center and 25 kilometers to the Center of Rome. To get into Rome, take the train from Colle Mattia (1k away) or Frascati or your rental car/Rome metro. Either mode takes less than an hour to get to Termini Station and with two metro stops more, you are at the Spanish Steps and the shopping district.
"Self Catering" Weekly Rate Plan
The Casale sleeps up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths and 6-8 people most comfortably. The weekly rates include housekeeping help and laundry service. Heat and Utilities are extra and based upon usage. We can arrange a tour guide and home prepared meals at the Casale for an added fee.

All-Inclusive Artist Workshops
A workshop or tour can be designed to fit the needs of your group of 6-8 people. This includes accomodations (double occupancy), 3 meals/day at Casale or Restaurants, Wine, Transportation, Museum Entry Fees, Laundry, Tour Guide and Gratuities. Please discuss your ideas with the owners.
